Yes I've done way too much magic in my life which is why I don't do it anymore. too much magic is bad for the joints (knees, elbows, etc.) That's one of my many unsubstantiated theories.

When I do any kind of tarot spread I use both the Thoth deck and the Rider. For me, the Thoth deck illustrates the elemental picture of what's happening, and the Rider deck shows the human story-making side of the story.

I don't match them up card for card. I shuffle both decks, then lay out the spread, first Thoth, then Rider.

Just now I pulled one card from each, in this case the Hierophant in the elemental position, with the Ace of cups in the human realm position. We should get together - after your retreat? Maybe we should try for before since you're planning to be a space case afterwards, yes?
