Yes, that Beltway. I often managed to get to the American Legion bridge just as the sun was rising. I thanked Goddess for this beauty and the ability to perceive it. Most especially it was beautiful in the autumn, with the leaves bright, brightened by the sun. Actually, I wrote a poem about this. Maybe I'll get it out and post it. Or maybe save it for the annual Brigid poetry thing? Some times of year the drive on the Beltway was entirely in the dark. I was fortunate that my office window faced east and was on the 15th floor of the building, so I got to watch the sunrise from there, then turned on my computer and, as it booted up, did my morning prayer/mediation (computers took quite a while to boot up back then). My office needed protection (another story...)so I selected a statue of guess who to guard it. When I left that job, I gave the image of Her to someone I thought might need, and would appreciate, Her.

Oh, you can't guess?
MedusaMedusahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00607394470175180836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-36209158500674448602010-11-22T10:37:41.843-05:002010-11-22T10:37:41.843-05:00Thanks, Hecate, for a great post.
