One of the recurring themes is that it's SO UNFAIR that the minority (atheists) can dictate to the majority (Christians). The just don't see that the majority is often in the wrong. To wit, this was the day in 1955 when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery AL bus to a white man. The majority would have said she was wrong.Garynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-8726077199834754342009-11-28T02:08:25.537-05:002009-11-28T02:08:25.537-05:00Must dig out my Festivus pole. . . .Must dig out my Festivus pole. . . .Makarioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08392249532355639518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-3110338573574030992009-11-27T18:17:45.608-05:002009-11-27T18:17:45.608-05:00Wait, you're saying there are already places w...Wait, you're saying there are already places where religious stuff can be displayed? Next you'll tell me there are places where people can worship freely in any manner they choose!ntoddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01068160577299501895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-40168301527030805832009-11-27T11:27:26.687-05:002009-11-27T11:27:26.687-05:00Exactly. There are many "winter" icons that can be displayed on public venues: snowmen (and women and children); snowflakes; mittens and hats, skis, skates, snowshoes; sleds, holly (yep -- it works! LOL!) I still like to see lighted trees of all sizes. Are there any others?

BTW -- for the money spend on some of the displays -- could be better served in these tough times for those in need. There are many services that benefit many people!

Jan at Rosemary CottageTeacatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06899566893360863672noreply@blogger.com
