I gave up deadheading the zinnias and black eyed susans.

I am about 1/3 way through Oarr's Kissing the Hag and I love it! Thanks for making me aware of this wonderful book. In fact, thanks for this post, too.Cynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02469492464518899845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-58473526671496426742010-09-30T10:48:18.292-04:002010-09-30T10:48:18.292-04:00Perfect timing! They'll be going into the last canning batch.
Usually fall makes me sad as well, but something this year is causing relief, too.rtnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-55504867331362488972010-09-30T10:28:57.718-04:002010-09-30T10:28:57.718-04:00Wonderful posting! DH got up in the night -- we were too awake at the same time -- had a snack and watched the very old "Invisible Man" LOL! We adore fall -- and even got a chance to clean up the gardens this week! Yes -- a cool front meant that the temperatures were a chilly 80s here in Dallas. LOL! I made shepherd's pie(ground beef and pork, veggies topped with garlic mashed potatoes) And today I am roasting an acorn squash to have with dinner! As for any knits -- well -- not quite ready for those -- even in this weather!

Jan at Rosemary CottageTeacatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06899566893360863672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-64609133400501990752010-09-30T07:57:31.368-04:002010-09-30T07:57:31.368-04:00Ooooh "deshabille"!! I will take on this new outlook and send warm thanks your way.Miss Ashhttp://www.perilouslyprecocious.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085926.post-15237320883142196142010-09-29T22:59:26.998-04:002010-09-29T22:59:26.998-04:00Wow that last bit sounds kind of like a curse.
