It figures that the Bush junta, which never misses an opportunity to fuck up, has seized on biofuels as their "compromise" answer to global climate change.

It's the corporate farm lobby behind this - whose dealings are so secretive and labyrinthine they make the Freemasons look like a 4H club. Even Atrios wrote that he's given up on understanding the Farm Bill and legislation of its ilk because these people and their operations are so impenetrable.
