Hecate--I can't find your email address, so I'll leave a note here, if that's okay.
I'm glad that you and NTodd are in DC together this weekend. I wanted to ask you if you could send blessings to someone being buried at Arlington this weekend. The nephew of a close friend of mine who was due to come home in November, will be coming home early in a box.
I am so sorry. Will send some good vibes towards Arlington this weekend. May the Goddess guard him. May he find his way to the Summerlands. May his friends and family know peace.
Oh, Whiskey Girl - so terribly sorry for your friend's loss. I clicked on your link from NTodd's site, this mess has got to end. The next generation's best and brightest are being snuffed out for no good reason. Hec and NTodd, I will be w/y'all in spirit at the march tomorrow - stuck here in Houston. If you get down here - let me know and we will go eat AT Baba Yega's! Great lil' place in town, been there for a long time (becoming a rarity in this city!). Skritches to Miss Thing! Blessings and safe protesting vibes, Elspeth elspeth dot ravenwind at earthlink dot net
I'm a woman, a Witch, a mother, a grandmother, an eco-feminist, a gardener, a reader, a writer, and a priestess of the Great Mother Earth. Hecate appears in the
Homeric Ode to Demeter, which tells of Hades who caught Persophone
"up reluctant on his golden car and bare her away lamenting. . . . But no one, either of the deathless gods or of mortal men, heard her voice, nor yet the olive-trees bearing rich fruit: only tenderhearted Hecate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaeus, heard the girl from her cave . . . ."
