Ivo's an amazing teacher and
this festival should be
great.
I'd love to know if there's ever been any instance, ever, of the xians getting together for a conference or festival and the media heading to the witches to ask for a comment.
Sauce/Goose/Gander/Or Shut The Fuck Up. I am just saying.

Are you going? Dover is a skip and jump from where I live, but tomorrow is my 25th wedding anniversary. I can just hear the ruckus if I announce I'm going to a pagan pride day...
ReplyDeleteThen again...
Are you going?
Anne,
ReplyDeleteSadly, not, but it does sound wonderful.
The reason for the quotation from the pastor is that journalists have been taught that their reporting must be Balanced™. Of course, this sometimes doesn't work both ways. For example, if they interview a rabbi, they don't appear to feel the necessity to get a balancing opinion from a Nazi.
ReplyDeleteIt IS wonderful. When we (the 2 of us who originally coordinated it in 2002) began the event in Dover, it exceeded our expectations.
ReplyDeleteEvery year, the event has grown. They get close to 1,000 people annually.
Sad that I can't go - I moved overseas last month. It will be the first time in the 8 years of the event's existence that I can not be there.
But it will probably be fun as always.
