Love it!!! Would that I had some running water near to me - I would hit the store for an apple tout de suite! :) Being as this features that odious 'creature' that is duh-bya, my thoughts shoot immediately to his neglect of a certain American city... Hopefully, soon I shall be living near the mighty Mississippi with an appropriately lucrative job in my beloved New Orleans - now there's some still living water, even if it is full of barges and whatnot. Oh, my Goddess - to be in my soul's home afterall...where I can walk to the market, walk to meet friends and friends I haven't met yet, and finally LIVE instead of just work and commute... So mote it be! :) Blessings Hecate! And I love FLG's falwell tribute for you! :) Elspeth
I'm a woman, a Witch, a mother, a grandmother, an eco-feminist, a gardener, a reader, a writer, and a priestess of the Great Mother Earth. Hecate appears in the
Homeric Ode to Demeter, which tells of Hades who caught Persophone
"up reluctant on his golden car and bare her away lamenting. . . . But no one, either of the deathless gods or of mortal men, heard her voice, nor yet the olive-trees bearing rich fruit: only tenderhearted Hecate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaeus, heard the girl from her cave . . . ."
