Jobs, Baby, Jobs

Her voice is almost gone. She's exhausted. And she's boosting the guy who beat her. Her fifty-state fight is what boosted him over the edge, making him run ads months ago in states he never dreamed that he'd win, months before McCain even thought of those states. And she, and her supporters, got raked over the fucking coals on every thirty-something male's liberal blog in left blogistan.

You guys SO owe us. I have a long memory.

I am just saying.

Me, too. I'll be voting for Obama (it took quite a while to come around - but I have a 10-yr old son and care about his future), but I won't forget how most of the boyz and the campaign treated women.

Regardless, O's competitive in places like NC because Hil stayed in 'til the end, and I'm wholly grateful.

I've been an Obama supporter since fall of '07, and there were points in the primary campaign that I was getting very turned off by Hillary's campaign. Her action since the primaries has been exemplary, though, which leads me to believe that it was her a upper-level people who were the problem and not her.

Please consider that even though Obama's been my guy, I've always considered Hillary's gender a plus for how I rated her, considering the crap that women of her generation had to go through. There are many more factors than gender, race, etc. that are more important, though, and I'm glad that most of the Clinton supporters have become Obama supporters, many of them enthusiastic ones.

I think Hillary has made her mark in so many ways, but if she was the nominee she would have lost. A woman I work with said a year ago that this country would elect a black man before they would elect a woman and she is right.

Men are the issue here. Whether it is their mother's voice or their wife's voice they cannot hear what a woman candidate has to say.

They can however see what a woman candidate has to offer as seen by the photos of the men and teenage boys ogling Palin at her rallies. Do you really think they hear a word she says?

Doubtful since the blood is rushing to the wrong head.

I think I posted a comment some time ago on exactly what it was (two things, actually) that turned me away from the Clinton effort. Too, bad, really, because I started supporting her. It certainly wasn't her gender that changed my mind. Things she said did that. I really do wish that she hadn't come out with those utterances. However, I am also quite glad that she's gotten behind Obama. I'd like to think he'd do the same if things went the other way. It's all just too important to screw up this time.
