We do watch Bill Maher -- a change of scene from the tide of xian news here in Texas. Of course -- his religious/relationship views don't tie in with mine (except for the anti-xian ones! LOL) -- BUT he does make some interesting points with this case. And if you watched the whole program -- he almost lost his temper with the conservative gal who was arguing the case against global warming. Interesting dynamics on that show.
I'm a woman, a Witch, a mother, a grandmother, an eco-feminist, a gardener, a reader, a writer, and a priestess of the Great Mother Earth. Hecate appears in the
Homeric Ode to Demeter, which tells of Hades who caught Persophone
"up reluctant on his golden car and bare her away lamenting. . . . But no one, either of the deathless gods or of mortal men, heard her voice, nor yet the olive-trees bearing rich fruit: only tenderhearted Hecate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaeus, heard the girl from her cave . . . ."

I like Bill Maher, and I like you too...that's what's great about free choice and tolerance : )
