Excellent post - the "root" of the problem explained clearly. We say it over and over and nothing ever changes in terms of subsidies. To see how phony everything is, ask yourself this: Can you even imagine Michelle Obama as part of her "nutrition" speeches at high schools and to restaurateurs, suggesting they form a coalition to end factory farm subsidies? Can you even imagine her attempting to form a coalition to subsidizes small, local, organic, farming and distribution on the condition they stay organic? No, instead she and her husband push immigration amnesty so we can have slave labor on these toxic, subsidized plantations and slave labor to conduct these horribly abusive animal operations.
