As he searches for a new strategy for Iraq, Bush has now adopted the formula advanced by his top military adviser to describe the situation. "We're not winning, we're not losing," Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post.
The assessment was a striking reversal for a president who, days before the November elections, declared, "Absolutely, we're winning."So if we were absolutely winning in October, WTF happened between then and the end of December? Nothing.
So were you lying to the American people -- again -- when you said that we were absolutely winning? Were you, for mere political expediency, lying to the American people about a war where their children are dying? Just as you admitted that you lied about keeping Donald Rumsfeld?
Are you lying now? How would we know? Oh, that's right; your lips are moving, you mass-murdering, psychopathic, venal, mean, nasty, narcissistic, worthless piece of shit.

What else is left? How about, we already lost? We can continue this macabre dance. We can continue to kill and be killed, but to what effect? Nothing good can come from continuing this dance.
"Winning" requires a definition of victory. We've never had one. I am reminded of a line from the movie "Wargames."
The only winning move is not to play.
P.S. - tag, you're it. (Don't blame me, I'm just playing an easier game someone else started.)
We can continue to kill and be killed, but to what effect?
this reminds of the most common rationale for staying in iraq: we're the only thing preventing a bloodbath.
how exactly are we doing that? sure as hell looks like a bloodbath to me right now. give some concrete ways that we're keeping it from getting worse and i'll consider what you say.
we are not not losing as quickly as he'd hoped.
sing it with me everyone:
this is the war that never ends
it just goes on and on my friend
some bastard started fighting it
not knowing what it was
and he'll continue fighting it
forever just because
this is the war that never ends
it just goes on and on my friend
some bastard started fighting it ....
If we're not winning and we're not losing, is it a tie? Quick, someone throw three out of five!
It's all a front for the cretin in chief's real message; GO SHOPPING.
And destroy everything in your path while you do it.

Pretty much it's all stalemate lies now.
