Still And Always The Anthem Of My Youth

The first cut is the deepest:

The older I get, the more that I've got to lose.

That, I think, is what I failed to grok in my teens. Well, as Rumi said: I would love to kiss you.
The price of kissing is your life. Now my loving is running toward my life shouting,
"What a bargain, let's buy it."

That's what I've got to lose.
