Barack Obama, Grow the Fuck Up. America Needs You.
Brighter bloggers than I will say what needs to be said about the domestic terrorism that culminated today in the point-blank shot to Democratic Congresswoman Giffords' head. They'll say what needs to be said about Sarah Palin's poster that targeted -- by which I mean showed in the sights of a gun -- Congresswoman Giffords, the only member of Congress, by the way, married to someone in the military. They'll say what needs to be said about how Congresswoman Giffords' opponent publicized fundraisers "targeting" her by giving Arizonans a chance to shoot guns with him. They'll say what needs to be said about candidates blabbing about "Second Amendment Solutions." They'll say what needs to be said about Glenn Beck and his filthy ilk.
Here's what I have to say: Man up, Barack Obama and do the damn job that you wanted before you were ready for it, won, and now have. You and Eric Holder and Janet Napalitano need to be all the fuck over this shit right the fuck now. You taught these terrorists that it was ok to show up at town hall meetings carrying guns to intimidate decent Democrats. Get off your Goldman Sachs ass. Act like the goddess-damned president of the United States of America. Now, before a few more of us get shot point-blank in the head.

I actually think I am more disappointed with Obama than I was with Bush. As for what happened today, I think my spouse is right that the bloodshed is only beginning.

why is fox news channel still on the air?? where was everyone's righteous anger when Bush was cutting up the Constitution?? why is everyone down on Obama to fix the shyt that's been flying for the last 7 years?? why is no one noticing that the anchors on fox news and their ilk sound a whole lot like the 'news' people in Rwanda before the genocides started?? Obama can't fix this, WE need to fix this, the constitution doesn't say the President runs this it says WE THE PEOPLE. maybe if people actually gave a shyt instead of apathetically abstaining from voting,maybe then idiots like Palin and her ilk wouldn't be allowed to run the fuck amok and poison people's minds,with their bullshyt.

Obama isn't some magic wizard with all the solutions in his damn back pocket. Americans f*cked up and Americans are going to have to MAN up to fix this. the minute he talks about gun control people say 'he's trying to take our freedoms' this is the result of the fear mongering and mud slinging that takes place unchecked.
when we allow a$$holes like glenn beck to have a damn tv show re-writing history, and filling the airwaves with his bullshyt and "women" and i use that term Goddess blessed loosely like Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin mouthing off about shyt they don't know and inciting a riot, they need to be held accountable, let's not pass the buck to the president, we did this by letting them continue to run amok and not standing up to mr mudock and fox news,

I'm sorry for the people who paid in blood for Americans to realize you can't just run your mouth off to fringe groups and not think something is going to happen, I'm sorry for the parents who will be burying their child soon, I'm sorry for the congresswoman who's life will be changed forever. but now Americans have no choice but to wake up and realize this isn't grade school and we aren't playing with just bullies, these are people's lives, and we need act as if it is more important than scoring points off the next guy by calling them all sorts of names. time for congress to wake the f*ck up this isn't the play ground anymore, act like f*cking adults.

Na gonna happen--nor will anything be done about the wackaloons who organize "open carry" events or who muse about "second-amendment rememdies." Any sort of overt criticism of that sort of thing--let alone interference with it--would be contrary to the spirit of bipartisanship.
I have not been following the news. Has anyone in Washington officialdom even characterized this as terrorism? I doubt it. That wouldn't be bipartisan either.
@ Anne--yeah, pretty much. If I still lived in the US, I'd be thinking of leaving. If I lived in the US and had kids, I'd be packing.
Other than being in the wrong place at the right time (like, say, the doomed travelers on Flight 93 on 9/11), there's little that We the People can do to shut down Fox News (First Amendment) or Sarah Palin's posters with hash marks (First Amendment possibly, I'd be suing her ass this very morning). We look to the president to set a moral standard and make statements for us collectively. And this president has fallen squarely into the hands of Big Money, he's got a Goldman Sachs throwout as chief of staff. He is our leader, and I don't feel like I've been led anywhere by him except to Chumpville for having cast my vote for him, thinking he was a reformer with the courage to make his promises into reality. LOL, shame on me! Tell me why I should vote? This is not a democracy any more than a movie set is a real town.
I am so sorry about Congresswoman Gifford's shooting. This domestic terrorism needs to end. This man should have received mental health intervention years ago. There is no excuse for this. So sad for the other deaths as well particularly the 9 year old little girl who was in a book about children born on 9/11/2001. What gas happened to our country. Here, locally in DC we also had 3 instances of letter bombs. Last evening when coming home around 6 pm a mail truck was stopped on one of streets near Union station. There were 8 police cars there. I am wondering if they had a suspicious package there.
