Isn't this something. I believe he is the first sitting Vice President since Aaron Burr to shoot someone, but I'm too cold to look it up. I do remember that Cheney and Aaron Burr have a lot in common. Though, of course, Burr didn't make off with nearly as much of the public treasury as Burr managed. Jefferson, you know.
