I read your blog on a daily basis and agree totally with everything you write so well. I'm especially touched by your questions for Dr. Dean. Tonight I watched NBC Nightly News and was startled by the contrast between travel with Bono in Western Africa and the plight of the Derby winner. What the fuck is wrong with people in this country. Kids are starving here and abroad. We owe the Chinese $650 billion and we're consumed with the "tragedy" befallen a race horse and his wealthy human companions. Help!! I can't stand it!! I love Al Gore too but he can't get elected. Who can?
I'm a woman, a Witch, a mother, a grandmother, an eco-feminist, a gardener, a reader, a writer, and a priestess of the Great Mother Earth. Hecate appears in the
Homeric Ode to Demeter, which tells of Hades who caught Persophone
"up reluctant on his golden car and bare her away lamenting. . . . But no one, either of the deathless gods or of mortal men, heard her voice, nor yet the olive-trees bearing rich fruit: only tenderhearted Hecate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaeus, heard the girl from her cave . . . ."
