It was nice to read Digby's
sane and mature perspective. She's right, of course, although once I started reading the comments, I saw the same divisive, lying crap. The MSM is to blame for highlighting the statements, but loud-mouthed supporters have adopted them as their own for their own purposes.
It would be better if candidates didn't say anything at all except in tightly-controlled situations. That way he or she can't get into trouble.
Hmmmm. Sounds familiar.
