Yes, one of the things I like about being British is that our combination of diversity and employment laws are really good and protect workers on all kinds of grounds. Employers are forced by law not to discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion/philosophical belief. Some do it grudgingly but it's increasingly accepted as positive. Yay!
Echoing Tess' comments -- lots of really wonderful things can happen when the law actually does create such changes -- eventually everyone (including employers) sees the benefits. Bravo!
Craving a really decent cuppa (missing Marks & Sparks tea) and a couple of choc biscuits (prefer Jaffa Cakes LOL!) .....
I'm a woman, a Witch, a mother, a grandmother, an eco-feminist, a gardener, a reader, a writer, and a priestess of the Great Mother Earth. Hecate appears in the
Homeric Ode to Demeter, which tells of Hades who caught Persophone
"up reluctant on his golden car and bare her away lamenting. . . . But no one, either of the deathless gods or of mortal men, heard her voice, nor yet the olive-trees bearing rich fruit: only tenderhearted Hecate, bright-coiffed, the daughter of Persaeus, heard the girl from her cave . . . ."

Still no capital P. Might go a long way toward dispelling the idea that "pagans" equal pranksters.
Ooh! Neato! Also, I hear they have voting stations in pubs. Britain is offically cooler than the U.S.
